Hello,I have heard that Pure Apple Cider Vinegar is a very good hair rinse. But what does "rinse" mean? Do I put the vinegar in after washing/conditioning, then wait and rinse or do I just leave it in my hair? Thanks!Jennifer Ann

Hey Jennifer Ann,I've been waiting around to see if someone else that knew more than me would answer, but alas... I've used vinegar both ways, diluting it with water and leaving it in (I heard that it would help bring out auburn highlights in my hair, but never noticed any difference.) Also, it smells strongly if you leave it in.I would use it diluted and rinse it out, if I were you. But I don't really know for sure how a hair expert might recommend. I think the vinegar's acidity balances the hairs PH level or something like that.Good luck, June> Hello,> I have heard that Pure Apple Cider Vinegar> is a very good hair rinse. It is also an astringent, so I find it great for my oily scalp. In order to know if it's OK to leave it in without rinsing, we would have to test how the change in pH affects the hair's health. I know that using baby shampoo, because of the difference between baby and grownup's pH, isn't that good in long term use.I nonetheless use it diluted with water and leave it in about once a week and all I can say is that my hair looks and feels healthy! The smell evaporates very quickly (I hope, because after 10 minutes or so, I can't smell it anymore...).Hope this helps!Itzel

Hi Jennifer Ann,I agree with Itzel's comments on Apple Cider Vinegar. I have actually left it in my hair in the past...just to see what it would do and it made my hair feel sticky. The ironic thing is that a lot of the upper scale products use Apple Cider Vinegar as a basis for their products. Many of Kiehl's shampoos use apple cider vinegar in the actual shampoo as does Furterer. Also Phyto.I would recommend washing it out. And yes...as Itzel says...it does some nice things for your hair.Regards.Karen
