Hi. I need help with my short hair. I have a formal to semi formal event on saturday. I have the newer "teri hatcher" hair. It's layered with bangs and above the ears and off the shoulders, if you haven't seen it.I have no idea how to fix my hair. I"ve tries pin curls, as that is all the hair I have to curl, but I end up looking like a poodle! I am NOT kidding.please help me.thank you kerry
Kerry,There are lots of things you can do with short hair and make it look dressy.Cameron Diaz has relatively short hair and she "dressed up" her short blonde hair for the Oscars by pulling her bangs to one side and clipping in a beautiful diamond barrette. Obviously you don't have to go that far, there are lots of really gorgeous and inexpensive sparkly barrettes that you can use.Drew Barrymore dressed up her hairdo with two small white daisies. She one on each side of her hair.Just changing the look of your hair can make a big difference. If you normally wear your hair slicked back and wet looking, you can do a switch and wear it soft and fluffy, If you don't wear it slicked back, that is a great way to get a chic look. Why not get a good shine enhancer like Bain de Terre's Recovery Complex (only a little drop will do wonders) and slick one side of your hair behind your ear and add a flower above your ear. Helena Bonham Carter slicked her hair totally down recently and add tiny little rosebuds to one side.Flowers and jeweled clips and butterfly clips are very hot right now.Butterfly clips are very popular and they come in all sizes. I saw a woman at a dressy restaurant with three tiny sparkly butterfly pins clipped down the left side of her hair. She had her hair parted on the right and swept to the left with the three little butterfly clips holding the hair to one side. They sparkled in the lights of the restaurant and looked great. You can also wear spikey bangs and then add tiny little knots to the crown area and add tiny little babies' breath around the nots to give your hair a veiled look.Or you can do really sleek bangs and then do tiny knots all over your head and apply a light dusting with glitter. There are so many things you can do with short hair and still look dressy and still be creative.Hope this helps you with some ideas on how to dress up.Tiny feathers are great too. If you are wearing a black dress, you can get some tiny black feather and pin them in your hair. Or use sparkly hair pins.Best wishes,Karen> Hi. I need help with my short hair. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
