After reading the message from the girl who was having trouble keeping her hair in a bun through dance class, I decided to play around with my hair a bit and see if I could find a more secure way to keep my hair up. And I found a cute way to do it that's not only rock-hard secure, but pretty too! :-)Here's what I did: 1. Put my hair into a ponytail on the crown of my head with a hair-safe elastic similar to the color of my hair. 2. Divided the ponytail roughly into thirds. 3. Took 1 section of hair, lightly twisted it so it came out of the ponytail in a bit of a "swirl" and wound it up and around the base of the ponytail like a normal bun, then pinned it. 4. Repeated step 3 with the 2 other sections, starting about 120 degrees off... so that the "swirls" formed a bit of a trefoil pattern in the center. It holds so well because each bobby pin is only holding 1/3 of my hair. Normally when I wear my hair up I have to go a re-pin it several times in a morning, but today it's holding quite fine and it's prettier than the bun I usually do. You could even put a scrunchy over the top to hold it better.I wish I could draw a picture... but I'm really bad with ascii art, so I'm not even gonna try! :-)-jennifer j
