Leslie a good friend of mine read my comment to you and he said that I shouldn't say that I am angry with you" I was so shock to realize what I wrote. Please allow me to explain. Please please understand it is not all what I meant. My first language is French and in French we have an expression that mean we are angry with you which actually means I agree 100 % with you and that I am very angry at the other person and that I stand beside you on the issue. What I didn' t realize that when I translated the very few words it didn't have the same meaning in English.I wish I would have been there to support you in front of that no personality female that has nothing better to do.Again please accept my apologies and I hope that you understood and you weren't hurt.

I read the message that was posted about short hair and long hair. What you say is wrong, we short haired people don't go around telling others they should cut their hair. Short hair will never go out of style as long hair might. Long hair is hard to manage and takes too much care. Lots of girls look more IN style if they have short hair. Trust me..... long hair is NOT the look!

Hi Mhayka,> What you say is wrong, we short haired people don't go around telling others> they should cut their hair.I agree with you in that it is not a fair generalization to say that "all" short-haired people go around telling others that they should cut their hair. I'm sure that there are many short-haired people who do not engage in this practice. However, it has been my unfortunate experience (as a long-haired man), and from what I understand, has been the experience of many of the long-haired ladies who frequent this board, that quite a few people in our lives have "given" us their unsolicited recommendations to shorten our hair.I believe I might speak for others when I say that we would appreciate more sensitivity from these folks. Specifically, we would ask that if someone is of the opinion that we "ought" to shorten our hair, that they refrain from "sharing" that opinion unless and until WE solicit it.I have never in my life heard of a long-haired person telling a short-haired person to "grow your hair long!"> Short hair will never go out of style as long hair might. Some people, me among them, would say that just the opposite is true -- that long hair is always in style (classic), while the popularity of short hair comes and goes.> Long hair is hard to manage and takes too much care. There are many people with long hair (again, me among them), who would respectfully disagree with this statement. I have long hair and I do not believe it is hard to manage and I do not believe it takes too much care. I will admit that it does take a certain amount of care, but to me it is not "too much." You may feel that long hair is not appropriate for you. That's fine. But making a blanket statement such as "long hair is hard to manage" is not a truth written in stone. You may fairly say for yourself that "long hair is hard for ME to manage, and takes too much care FOR ME." But your feelings are not hard and fast truths. So perhaps you like short hair. Would you appreciate it someone told you that "short hair is boring and dull?" I seriously doubt that such a comment would please you.> Lots of girls look more IN style if they have short hair. Trust me..... long hair> is NOT the look!So what you're saying is that short hair is presently "in style." What if long hair were to become the popular style in the near future? All those who value being "in style" and who have short hair will suddenly be "out of style" -- and at least a year or two away from being "in style." But those who keep their hair long will instantly be in style.Well, good luck to you.Dave

I did share an experience about someone telling me to cut my hair, but I didn't make any reference or correlation between this event and short haired people. Leslie
