Custom Icon

Edited to add: I found a workaround. I changed my icon to 'gif' format and it worked.

I can't change my custom icon. I originally uploaded a custom icon (Kuryamatitus the gorilla) and it displays. I can select one of the default icons and they display. But when I upload a new custom icon it deplays my original custom icon (Kury). In other words, I'm stuck with Kury the gorilla. Could you help me resolve this issue?
