I believe this is the story Karen is referring to:Dateline - April 1, 1997 (no fooling!)**************************************************************PRODUCT WARNING ALERT !! Stop! Do not read on if you are faint of heart!**************************************************************Today in Calgary tragedy struck. Four inches had to be cut due toecological correctness. Finding her plants invaded by stupid littleflies Tamara of Calgary went to the local plant store to find asolution. She was sold Safer's Sticky Stiks. Safer's Sticky Stiksare plastic sticks that hold strips of ultra sticky yellow tape. Theflies land on it and never move again. It must have been her intensemurderous focus that attracted her long haired cat to investigateafore mentioned sticks late one night with predictable results. Inthe howling aftermath she did not notice that she too fell victim. The next morning she had to visit the dreaded local scissors wheelerand sadly watch as four inches were removed. Not until Christmas willCalgary David or any TLHS man have an opportunity to experience jelloknees at the sight of Tamara's hair.**************************************************************Needless to say I am still missing those four inches.Tamara in Calgary, Canada

Tamara,First of all let me tell you that your hair looks beautiful and the best I have seen it since I first met you. Second, thanks for repeating this story. I shuddered the first time I heard it and I shuddered again reading it.This is one of the best "worst hair day stories" I have ever read and unbelievable. I bet the flies were happy that your hair got it instead of the sticks. :-)I have my own inches that I lost but mine was from something that I could have prevented. How could you know that those sticks were...really really sticky? Thanks again for the great photos. I love the one that is your favorite. Our front page looks gorgeous with you gracing the cover. :-)Karen> I believe this is the story Karen is referring to:> Dateline - April 1, 1997 (no fooling!)>> **************************************************************> PRODUCT WARNING ALERT !! Hi Valentine,Thanks for the compliments. I will write more as soon as I have something to say ;)It took 5 rolls of film to get those 5 shots but I think Dad and I have it figured out so maybe we'll get a better average next time.I don't know about the "jello knees" effect - I haven't noticed any "wobbling" as of late :o> Hi Tamara,> Thank you so much for writing that wonderful article> with all of the great pictures and styles!
