Hi everyone!Ready for the weekend? I sure am! ;o)Has anyone ever noticed parts of their hair growing faster or slower than the rest?On front/top of my head, my hair grows markedly faster than the rest. In the beginning of June, my bangs were to my eyebrows. Now, they're to the end of my nose and a bit past. Now that's fast! I'm not sure if it's the summer weather that did it or what it might be? The rest of my hair grew well, but nothing like the front. But it's always seemed to be that way. I'm growing out my bangs, so the quicker they grow the better. They've grown 2.5 or almost 3 inches this summer, while the rest of my hair has grown more like 1.5 inches.I suspect some of it is that longer hair is more prone to damage and breakage, so some of the length is lost. I don't know if length has any effect on the actual amount of hair produced by the follicles. That would be interesting to research.Laura Janelswanson@sunflower.bio.indiana.edu

Hi Laura Jane!Thanks for writing! Hope you had a great weekend. :o)Good luck on your presentation. I'm sure you'll do great!I'm having the same experience with my bangs too. I measured them this weekend and they've grown about 2.5" in 3 months while the back can't even come near that.
