now i need some help i got real nappy hair i been brushin for like 5 weeks now when i started i was brushing everyday for like 5 hours but i was doing it when my hair was dry and i kept changing methods from murrays to 360 to sportin waves. i know wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner keepin it moist i ass pink oil brush wit soft brush for 15 minz then add murrays(i add alot coz even when i rub it to melt it down the **** seem 2 stick to 1 part of my head as soo as it touches it) then add some more pink oil and brush with hard brush for 30 minz. Now my hair look kinda low but real messy like curlin up at the sides and the colour lookin kinda faded. I got a few waves but ****s lookin messed up what should i do?
p.s does colouring your hair with black dye**** up the texture of your waves

oh yeah and when you brush is it with a hard brush all day and doesnt murrays**** up your brush. My hair also dont seem to stay wet after 5 minutes of pink oil and how much pomade or pink oil is too much
Rub the grease into your hands more before you apply it so it's evenly distributed. Use more on the sides or just brush more there. I guess by "faded" you mean you applied the grease while your hair was still too wet. Just keep brushing and it will go away. You could melt it or just use a dry cloth to slick some of it off. I'm not sure if dye is good for hair so I'd say it probably does hinder your ability to get the best waves possible.

the top be lookin slicked down but the sides kinda curly plus i get all the residue on my brush. how do yall melt down the pomade? and when i get my haircut how low is too low? and how does this affect the waves? plus my brush be feelin like the pomade sticking it together and the bristles aint free no more
Sometimes I wonder if there's a such thing as too much pink lotion. Just use enough to get it all around and that will be good. Now grease... Any grease is too much. Naw, jk. It depends on your hair. If you're like dmass with the curly stuff, use the reccommended amount. If you're nappy, just keep going until it all lays flat.

Lol, if you use grease your brush is gonna look like you used it to sweep the floor. That's just a part of using the stuff. You could wash it every time you brush. Put it in some hot water; that should help. Now, as for the "melting down" thing, I've heard cats say all kinds of stuff in barber shops along the east coast. Some say toss a cloth in the microwave or in the oven; some say use a brush that's been bounching around in the dryer, some say just heat up a wave cap and the excess grease will stick to it. lol. When I used grease I never melted down. I just used a whole lot then slicked it down with a dry wash cloth in the direction I brushed. Then while it still looked like I used a kit, I capped it. When I washed my hair, I never attempted to get it all out. I found I still got good hold. Probably because I used so much to begin with. But it actually looked better (more natural) after a couple washings.

And another thing... man don't color yo hair. If it was black before you used the pomade then it will be black when u take it out. Yo hair color isn't permanently changed.
what im talking about is after putting all the pomade and grease for a while doesnt you hair kinda lose its colour and all the washing and stuff strips nutrients and r u supposed to wash everyday coz some 1 told me to wash wit shamp and con twice a week but other than that use a damp towel. and pink oil makes my hair all curly instead of laying it flat
p.s does using a hard brush scrape the skin on the top of your ears when u brush the sides my ears be hurtin with the damage the hard bristles be doing.

Your barber should know.. just tell him to cut it down all even but keep the waves. With dat said he shouldn't cut it too low and your waves should look tight.. well wen they come in mo.
