About a month ago to three weeks I got my hair cut short. And I was wondering what I can do to possibly speed up the hair growth if There's anyway how.

Hi,Sorry about your hair cut. I wish I could tell you that there is a magic pill to speed up your hair growth. After 10 years of focusing intently on growing my hair...I can tell you that your hair growth is determined genetically. Everyone has different hair growth rates depending on heredity and a variety of factors. Most people will experience hair growth at the rate of 1/4 - 1/2 inch per month with an overall growth rate of approximately 6 inches a year. Some people grow hair faster, some slower. The average is what I quoted.Hair tends to grow faster in the summer and slower in the winter. There are a variety of thoughts on that subject of which I won't go into.Yes...there is a new miracle drug called Viviscal that supposedly speeds hair growth. Whether it does or not...it is too soon to know for sure.So how do you "maximize" your own hair growth cycle/"Well you can do the following things:1. Eat well (avoid excessive sugar/fat/alchol/caffeine 0 you know...all the good stuff)2. Limit smoking and stress as much as possible in 1998.3. Exercise and get adequate rest. Hair seems to grow better on rested people than people who are sleep deprived. Don't ask me why, that is just a common opinion held by many.4. Try taking a good vitamin B tablet. I have personally found that taking Kelp and eating seaweed helps my own hair. Whether it will work for you, it is hard to know.5. Try scalp massage. This may only help to stimulate the circulation of your scalp, and may not help your hair grow, but it does relax you and that helps in itself.6. Be patient. Unfortunately there is nothing else you can do.If you want a quick fix you can invest in a good wig, clip on hair or possibly hair extensions. Other than that, there is no magic answer. If there was...I would be out there selling it to the world. :-)Best wishes,Karen> About a month ago to three weeks I got my hair cut> short. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
