I just had my hair highlighted for the first time. I love it, but my hair needs a little extra conditioning and pampering right now. I have been using either honey or mayo conditioning treatments. Will it be ok on my hair and the highlights to continue this? I don't want any surprises after the time I spent growing it back out from a horrible haircut. Thanks for your help =)

Hi,Actually the best thing you can do is use either extra virgin olive oil and wrap it in a shower cap and then throw on a hot towel or you can use Aveda's Beautifying Oil. I have great results with both and there is absolutely no chance of it hurting your highlights.By the way....congrats on your highlights.I have been getting my hair highlighted for over 8 years and while my hair does get a little dry...for the most part it snaps right back with a hot oil pack.I see no reason why either the honey or the mayo would hurt your hair either. The bad news is that all of this stuff is messy. UGH. But worthwhile.Best wishes,Karen> I just had my hair highlighted for the first time. That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
