I am getting bored with my hair. I've been wearing it the same way since I was in high school. It's a couple of inches past my shoulders, with long layers, and I have bangs which I usually curl over to the side and I "poof" them up. I've permed, colored, straightened, etc. I need some different stylng ideas. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!Julie
Try growing your hair out, including your bangs.People look nice with long bangs if they have short hair or long hair.You could add highlights, If your hair is blonde, add brown and red highlights. If it is brown, add red and blonde highlights.If you have black hair, try exotic platinum blonde tiny strips.curl the bottom of your hair it adds a finesse touch.Change your part or try Beads in your hair.You could also decorate your hair with little V clips.Wear it up in a bun with your bangs hanging down.You could wear your hair in barrettes.Or you could add a nice asian touch by putting it up in a bun and sticking 1 chopstick through it to hold it.You could put flowers in your hair live ones with bobby pins.You could leave your hair hanging down around your face andput a flower behind your ear.You could put it in a ponytail and make 4 braids out of the hanging hair.There are so many possibilities, look around this site, it has lots of good ideas. I'm sure you'll eventually find a style you like a lot.:)
We are cosmetologist from Green Bay WI and this is what we think you should do. We think that you should try cutting it shotter. Not a buzz cut but somthing maybe to you shoulders or above. There is so many cute short cuts out there now days. Short is in. You will find that you can do so many more styles with shorter hair. Also try fringe bangs or no bangs. The poof is out. We wouldn't suggest growing your hair out because it sounds to us like you want a change. Growing your hair out talkes time and it would be cute short. Also what shape of face do you think you have? That would make a big diffrence in what style you can wear! Zig zag parts are in or chunked parts. As for color I would try and cut it first and then think about color.
