Can anyone give me advice about pressing my hair at home after having used a relaxer for the last 12 years? I'm wondering what products I should use and general advice. Also, my hair has a tendency to wave in humid conditions; does this mean I will have to press my hair after every shower? Please help. Thanks.

I would not recommend this. The relaxed hair will singe or split. It's too fragile for the pressing comb. But, if you are extremely careful, you can press the new growth only. I would recommend flat ironing over pressing.Depending on what oil you use, you may need to press after a shower. Use a shower cap and there won't be a problem or tie your hair with a silk scarf. I have relaxed hair and I tie mine down. HTHCan anyone give me advice about pressing my hair at> home after having used a relaxer for the last 12> years?
