Karen, I noticed in a post that you mentioned you had read Riquette's book when you were dealing with hair loss some years ago. Is it a worthwhile purchase for somebody seeking to grow their hair out? Do you believe that the remedies really work? Is the cayenne/olive oil mixture a typical "growth tonic"? I went over to Borders last night, but couldn't find a copy, so I'll probably end up ordering it from Amazon if I get it. However, Amazon only had a very brief synopsis of the book. . .nothing from which I could get a feeling of whether it's right for me. Thus, I'd appreciate any comments you had about it! Thanks!

Hi,I have BOTH of Riquette's books. One is the Grow Hairin 12 Weeks book and then she wrote a follow up book that she sells directly through her company in California. I did like the Grow Hair book and I felt that it did help me. I used the basil oil that she recommends and I did notice a difference. I still have some basil oil and when my hair feels a little fragile I will add it to my hot oil treatment.I liked the first book so well that I bought her second book. I did not find that book as helpful. In fact, I never really used the second book at all. I did read the first book several times and it did help. I tried several of the recipes and the one that worked best was the Basil Oil. So I stuck with that one. The cayenne tingled and felt OK but I just felt that the Basil worked the best for me.I have a complete review of her book (which you may have seen in the Hair Boutique Bookstore (URL below) but I do recommend her first Grow Hair in 12 Weeks book. It is actually pretty cheap from Amazon and they still have it in stock.Hope that answers your questions. If not, please post more and I will look for your posts.Best wishes,Karen> Karen, I noticed in a post that you mentioned you had> read Riquette's book when you were dealing with hair> loss some years ago. Hi, Karen! Thank you so much for your response. . .and the basil oil certainly sounds promising! I won't be getting her second book, but I'll order the first. Anything for healthy hair! :)
