> i saw this message way down on the list of messages.> dose any one know what cayanne is? thanksI am certain that the word was supposed to be CAYENNE, just as "groth" was supposed to be GROWTH. Both words were misspelled. Cayenne is the ordinary ground, hot red pepper found in your kitchen cabinet and in the spice section of your supermarket. It is often mixed with oil or other substances and rubbed into the scalp to stimulate blood flow to the hair roots. If you can find ground Habanero pepper, most likely to be found in your health food store, it is the hottest pepper in the world - many times hotter than cayenne. However, you must be very careful to wash your hands very well after handling it and to not get any into your eyes.
I just rubbed some cayenne into my scalp -- yowzers! If the heat is truly an indication, then it's certainly working! I'll mix some in with olive oil to do a full massage shortly. . .hopefully this will stimulate some more growth!I called all of the health food stores in my area today and nobody carries habanero pepper -- the usual response is that it's too expensive to order for such a small customer market. Hmm. . .does anybody know if it can be ordered through a supplier? I've seen web sites for habanero sauce, but not the ground pepper. Thanks!

I found it! Ground Habeneros pepper. I found it at a store in a nearby mall called Calidos Chile Traders for $6. This is a specialty store that specializes in chile/pepper supplies (ingredients, gift baskets, etc.) You might try a store like that. When you used the cayanne pepper on your hair, did you feel a need to wash it out before you went anywhere. I wonder if when using the olive oil/pepper tonic you will want to wash it before you go out? Does it make hair seem oily? Or do you just use a tad at the scalp? Anyone know?

Or do you just use a tad at the scalp?> Anyone know?First off, thanks for telling me about the store! I'll check the phone book to see if there's one nearby.Secondly, EVERYBODY BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THIS! I massaged a bit of olive oil and cayenne pepper into my head last night, put my hair in a ponytail, and went to bed. When I woke up this morning I washed my hands and started to put in my contacts -- and SCREAMED! The pain was OVERWHELMING -- I was actually crying (which probably helped!). I don't know why there would still be residue on my hands (I SCRUB them), but apparently there was. Maybe I unconsciously flicked away some hair if it fell into my face, but oh my gosh! It hurt sooooo much. So PLEASE be careful -- you may wish to use gloves! That's what I'll do from now on.Finally, I found that the olive oil made my scalp VERY oily. Perhaps I used too much?! I would never do this before going out. Does anybody know the exact amount of oil and pepper to use?
