What are the best products to use for long, wavy, dry, thin hair to make it looks it's shiniest & healthiest? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Jeanie

JeanieJeanie,I have med length, naturally curly, dry, thinning hair and like to use several different products on my hair. I alternate different shampoos and cond. I like Sebastian Shaper Slipline Shampoo and Cond and also Bain de Terre Recovery Complex Shampoo and Cond. I always follow up (on wet hair) with a shine product (use sparingly). Any brand works and the cost varies widely between products, but I feel they are all the same, pretty much the same ingred.I dislike gels and mousses because they tend to make my hair stiff and I hate that feel, I like soft hair.Kathy

I suggest for dry hair ALBERTO VO5 hairdressing-it comes in a gold tube and just a little smoothed over all your hair.Silicones, from what I have experienced and read about, build-up on the hair making it drier, and can cause breakage. Alberto VO5 has no silicone nor fixatives, which also can cause build-up and breakage. (Read "Don't go Shopping For Haircare Products Without Me" by Paula Begoun, available on the book review section, I believe).Silicones, by the way, are any ingredients that end in cone, such as DIMETHICONE. Hope this helps.Holly
