Hi everyone,I like to wear my bangs cut in graduated layers to the side, with a bluntish fringe to create a full look. It is so simple, yet so difficult to get a hairstylist to understand what exactly I want! The rest of my hair is just a blunt cut, slightly below the shoulders. It is a fairly "classic" look which I'm partial to on myself. Does anyone have any ideas on how I may be able to trim my bangs into the shape I have described, or how to explain it to a hairdresser so that they understand exactly what I'm asking for? I know it sounds crazy, but I know what I want! Unfortunately, I'm not a trained hair stylist and I'm scared to cut my own hair!! Thanks for any and all advice. :)
Belinda,A picture is worth a thousand words, at least that is my experience with hairstylists. Do you have a photo of yourself with the bangs you like? If not, I suggest finding a photo from a magazine that comes close. You may have to find the bangs you like on one picture and the rest of the haircut on another, but at least there is no room for your stylist's interpretation. Once you find someone who can do it, simply ask them how you can touch up your bangs between regular trims-also just watch in the mirror. If the initial cut is good you should be able to follow it for 1 or 2 trims. Also, use good haircutting scissors, not the scissors you also use to clip coupons, or you will end up with ragged, split ends. My stylist knows I'm going to try it anyway so he figures I might as well be shown how to do it right or he'll be stuck trying to fix my mess! Good luck!

That may just do the trick! :) Thanks a million!Belinda,> A picture is worth a thousand words, at least that is> my experience with hairstylists.
