Hi allI've been reading lots of messages and products reviews and most of the time the expressions "heavy or weighed down" appears as being bad. That's my point : I've got dry curl ,frizzyand bulky hair and for a long time I've been looking for products that would make hair softer, with less frizz and so. Well, nowadays I use a few products just like RedkenALL SOFT, Sebastian ,silicones e.g.,with good results butI want something to give me LESS VOLUME and also MOVEMENT( miracle ? ) . I mean movement the fact that one can lift hair and it would come back to its "original" state without a helping hand.Any idea ?? Any help ?? I hope I'm not an E.T talking about this wish.Thankin'in advance,Carla
Hi there!I also have curly hair which I like to blow dry straight sometimes. Now, in my experience, there are many types of curly hair-- some people have thin curls, while others have an over abundance. The more you have, the more difficult it is to striaghten. As for me, when I use a round brush, I end up with nice smooth hair, but it is usually too full for my taste,... so i have this attachment that I put on my dryer. I get it at my local beuaty supply store for about two bucks. It has a nozzle end that fits on your blowdryer and a whole bunch of teeth at the other end. I turn up my dryer to its hootest settinf in run the pick end downward trhough my hair-- this REALLY flattens it out. Also, my best kept secret is this-- and this is what really helps me to achieve a look with less volume but with swing--- When my hair is wet, I slick it back tightly into a low ponytail and let it dry that way. Then when I get ready to blowdry, the top and sides are already flat, so all i have to do is hape the bottom. This can be quite time consuming, so I only do it every three days when I straighten. Also, don't forget to use a good striaghtening balm. I mix Phytodefrisant with Citre Shine striaghtening balm and follow up with a dab of Kiehl's Creme with Silk Groom!Good LuckSherry> Hi all> I've been reading lots of messages and products> reviews and most of the time the expressions> "heavy or weighed down" appears as being> bad.> That's my point : I've got dry curl ,frizzy> and bulky hair and for a long time I've been looking> for products that would make hair softer, with less> frizz and so. Carla,For products I would suggest using the ARTec Smoothing line. The shampoo and conditioner have worked wonders on my curly hair. These products seem to smooth my hair and take away my major frizzies. I think they also give me the added moisture necessary to keep my curly hair in line. A lot of other Hair Boutique visitors, curly and straight, use this line and are very pleased withthe results. In regards to the extra volume I suggest the next time you see your stylist ask him/her to take some of the bulk out of your hair. My stylist uses a fabulous pair of scissors that thins outmy hair cutting only certain stands out of my hair. It worked great for my thick hair. Also have your hair cut with long layers becuase this technique will take away some bulk any put some movement inot your hair. You should visit the site www.naturallycurly.com.
