QuoteReplyTopic: My Hair Is A Disaster- Help!!! Posted: January 12 2000 at 4:08am
To Anyone!,I've had the flu real bad for 3 weeks &feel disgusting, but I've noticed my hair is falling out full lengths more than the 100-150 we are meant to lose & when I used a Semi (Indola Rapid Colour) I ended up with a lot of breakage & super dry hair . This has never happened to me before, so I'm trying to figure out is it my state of health or am about to lose my hair, in all my years of hairdressing I know bad health can take it's toll on hair but this is a bit much, Nexxus recomends I use the Vita Tress range has anyone tried this? & if so please let me know as I am getting quite upset & confused about this as my hair was doing great now it is horrible.Thanks,Simone.(C) :(

Sort of "catching up" so to speak? After a few days I would expect it to return to normal.
To Julie & John,Thanks for you posts!. Julie I cannot change my medication for epilepsy as the one I'm on was the only drug I can take(Rivitril I take 4mgs a day), I consulted a tricologist & He told me this would not affect my hair, so it's a mystery to me & John your advise would've been correct but even if I have to crawl to the shower I was & condition everyday, I'm still losing a lot of hair & even my trade as a hairdresser this one has got me baffled. I sincerly thank you both for your kindness in answering me, this discussion board is soooo helpful & you are all lovely people.Thanks,Simone.(C). :(Simone, are you taking any medications??If so you> might want to call your Dr. and see if there's another> med. you can take .

Try Joicos K-Pac. Vita tress might plump up your hair and give it body temperarily but your hair can only absorb so much and I think eventually these products build up in your hair causing it to become brittle. Try Paul Mitchells Shampoo 3 to remove buildups from medication. Good luck.
