I've come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a gel or mousse that leaves your hair soft since they both contain fixatives to hold hair which make my hair feel stiff and sticky. I've never used hairspray before because I thought they also made hair feel sticky but do any of the new formulas work?

> I probably sound like a Paul Mitchell junkie, but have you ever used PM Soft Spray? It's the only hairspray I use, but I am considering not buying any more, because it contains alcohol-try the gel that William posted about first. It sounds great-I will probably try it myself when I need more gel-ReneeTo Roberta;> Try Senscience gel in the tube, it is not a stiff hold> but works very well for a natural hold without> stiffness and great movement. william

Hi Roberta,Have you ever tried Paul Mitchel Scultping Foam with Conditioners (not the extra body formual, but the original)? Let me tell you, this stuff is increadible and I don't get any type of 'crunch' (plus, I have curly hair and I use A LOT). It is loaded with conditioners too, so your hair really gets a treat! I wouldn't trade it for the world! Also, about hair sprays, the lightest one with softest hold that I have found is made by Citre Shine. It sprays in kind of a micro mist way and if you just give it a quick 'Woosh' by your head, you're set-- with soft, touchable hold!Hope this helps!Sherry~> I've come to the conclusion that there is no such> thing as a gel or mousse that leaves your hair soft> since they both contain fixatives to hold hair which> make my hair feel stiff and sticky. Maybe my hair is too dry to begin with. I might try spritz since I only need hold in the front and not all over.
