NG is the first line of hair care products I have been able to use consistantly for almost a year now with no build up. Years ago in the 70's there was a line available called Earth Born. I used that shampoo faithfully until it was taken off the market. Ever since I have been switching from one line to another. I am glad Dawn got me hooked on NG.. it's definitely a winner.Good luck.. I would take it back. I have never had thin shampoos or conditioners from NG. I have bought NG from a variety of stores. Maybe someone bought it used it and refilled it with water to return it.. who knows? I would definitely return it. The shampoos especially are always so thick and rich. Take it back, show them and exchange for another bottle. Open the lid on the new bottle and examine it. If there is a problem, then it's the store. Go somewhere else then. Hope this helps. Cher~
