I have extremely thick hair. I hate it!!! I really want controlled hair. Part of my problem is that is frizzy, but I use products to treat that somewhat. My other problem is that I have short hair. I want extensions but they are too expensive and I don't know where to get them. I want my hair to grow faster is there any way you can help me?

Jessica,I'm afraid nothing in the world will change the texture of your hair. I have thick and wavy hair myself and wear it short, thinking of growing it out (maybe..)As mentioned here in the hair tips some days ago: work with your hair, not against it. Maybe you just have the wrong cut for your type of hair?There are some very nice short hair styles in the gallery (see 789, 809, 798, 791) which will work with thick hair.If you want to grow your hair out there is not much for you to do, just patience, good hair care and again patience. If you search this board and the archive you will find many posts on growing out hair. You will also find support from nice people on this board, tips and tricks. Trust me, there are really nice people her, very friendly and helpful.You will find posts about Viviscal - I haven't tried it, so I can't say if hair grows faster or not. I just know that it is somewhat expensive ;-)Extensions - I don't know where you're from, here in Germany I know some addresses, but maybe someone else on this board can help.Frizzy hair - if you want to let your hair grow you need to take care about this. Funny, everbody said short hair is easier and faster to take care of, but my experience is that it's the same with short or long hair. On this board are some product reviews, maybe you find some inspiration here.I don't know if this is helpful, but it's the best I can offer at the moment. I gave up that idea and it is now shoulder length and I am growing it back. I can't worry about age; it's just too awful short.All I can say is: be patient and don't give up!
