getting haircut today

hello whatup,im a tournement chess player from philly really feeling the grove of this site,so thx for all your insight,but my question is how dark should i keep my ceasar to get the full affect of the waves when getting a hair cut,sometimes these barbers try to take over your head and cut your waves out and im flowing pretty proper like a soul train commercial. i usally get a ligt graze but sometime it grows back to fast in the back and on the side,so how should i get it cut?

My barber usually gives me the same haircut but today I asked for a light ceasar and look what happened...

and a dark caesar has slightly more hair than that pic?....cuz if thats the case...I've been gettin light C's eversince i"ve had waves...
