I'm not sure, but you may refer to bangs as "fringes."People in the US generally refer to "bangs" as the hair that hangs down on the forehead. Therefore, if someone had hair that was a certain long length everywhere and wanted "bangs," the hair in front would be cut, usually to about the eyebrow level.
