Does anyone have any tips for growing out relaxers without having to cut the hair short? I am at a point in my life where I am tired of having to run to the hair dresser every few weeks. Can I hot press the roots while they grow out? I am also hesitant to use the 'Flat Out'/no frizz products. They say that 'they become more effective over time'. Is this because they are actually permanently relaxing the hair in some way? I started to use on my eleven year old daughter's virgin hair but stopped because I did not want to change the texture of her hair entirely.Any thoughts are appreciated. Regards.

I attempted to answere some of your questions in your color segment. The product types you mentioned should not do any permanent damage or change the hair's texture in any way unles it says that it is a "permanent" relaxing product or a "chemical" relaxing product. If you read the lables the companies say what type they are. If you are hesitant to use them, just write the company name down and the product name and call the company. Most have toll free numbers and are more than happy to explain their products to you.
