Sorry to bother you but I remember while back about your advice on oily hair in the ask Karen column. You said that the trick was to use an oily hair shampoo twice a week and a gentle shampoo on the other days right? But how about daily oily shampoos?Like Paul Mitchell's Shampoo 2 or Aveda's Rosemary Mint (aveda told me it was). The problem is some brands like Keratese(Dual Normalizing Shampoo),Redken(Jellysomething oily hair shampoo) or many other brands don't state whether they are to be used on a daily basis or not? What should I do?I use a light conditioner everyday.By the way I heard that the excess sebums can clogged the scalp's pores. Is there a shampoo to unclogged it?Thanks!Sorry for the long post.
The key is to find a method that works best for you and your hair type. I used to believe that I had to wash my hair every day or else it would be dry and scraggly. Well I recently discovered that when I use Aubrey's Honeysuckle Rose that I only need to wash my hair every other day to get a great head of shiny hair.Yes, some oily hair shampoos might work great on a daily basis. However this is something that you would need to discover for yourself based on your own particular hair type.Another trick for cutting oil is to use a cold water rinse as the final rinse. This will close the hair shaft and contain some of the oiliness.I wish I could tell you for sure that using one of the products that you mention every day would work as well as what I recommended in a previous AskKaren, but what may work great for one person and their hair may not work at all for someone else.Best wishes,Karen> Sorry to bother you but I remember while back about> your advice on oily hair in the ask Karen column. You> said that the trick was to use an oily hair shampoo> twice a week and a gentle shampoo on the other days> right? But how about daily oily shampoos?Like Paul> Mitchell's Shampoo 2 or Aveda's Rosemary Mint (aveda> told me it was). The problem is some brands like> Keratese(Dual Normalizing> Shampoo),Redken(Jellysomething oily hair shampoo) or> many other brands don't state whether they are to be> used on a daily basis or not? What should I do?I use a> light conditioner everyday.By the way I heard that the> excess sebums can clogged the scalp's pores. Is there a> shampoo to unclogged it?Thanks!Sorry for the long> post.
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)
