> I have similar hair. I wash it, put a product in it, such as Frizz Ease or something similar, while it is still damp - then, while still damp, I pull it back tightly into a pony tail.By the time my hair is dry it is also flat and shiny.

I, too, have long wavy hair that frizzed noticably when I tried to blowdry it straight, but now that I have stopped trying to straighten it, the frizziness is much less noticable. You might want to try setting your hair to have a looser wave, so that it will look neater and more controlled but won't try to rebel from the unnatural shape it was forced to assume so much.Erika

There are many options nowadays. I, for one, clip up my damp hair and then small section by small section blow-dry with the nozzle end close to my round brush (size important for how straight you actually want it)drying from the roots down until straight. Of course I only do this in the winter months when the cold air holds this style...the heat and humidity will just ruin it. Also, I've been using a product line that helps keep it nice and smoothe. It's called ArtTec and it's the smoothing shampoo and conditioner plus the smoothing serum that will really help.I agree with the idea of pulling back your hair into a tight ponytail while damp and with some form of smoothing product as well. It's defintely worked for me.Also on another note, even though straight hair seems to get ALL of the attention these days, embracing your natural curl is something to be proud of.Good luck and I hope I helped a bit.Woo
