I just bought a heating cap at Sally Beauty Supply yesterday... what are some good ways I can use it? Last night I used it for about 15 minutes with Sally's generic version of Joico K-pac. So far, the ends of my hair seem really soft! Is it true that too much protein will cause your hair to break off? Should I not use the Joico K-pac very often?

I am not sure what too much protein would be. You might want to alternate products, just so your hair doesn't get "tired" of one.Clare

A heating cap is basically just a heating pad for your head. You put it on your head while you have a good conditioner in your hair and it helps the conditioner to really be absorbed into your hair. So far I'm very pleased with mine.> hey! i was reading your message and i wanted to ask> you waht is a heating cap?? what does it do?? thanx!> angela
