I know that a lot of people have had bad experiences with Pantene and other hair products that had a high silicone content. Recently Pantene changed the formula of its Pro-V line to decrease the amount of cyclomethicone in the conditioner. However, I noticed that now the primary ingredient in the conditioner is cyclopentasiloxane. I am not sure that that is but I think it is also some kind of polymer. So my question is, is cyclopentasiloxane any better for your hair than cyclomethicone/dimethicone, or did they just go from one damaging product to another?
