Anim-8 treatment

I recently became aware of this salon treatment which is manufactured by Rusk. It appears to be applied much like a perm, but it only gives volume and lift but no curl, plus can be done about every 8 weeks. Has anyone had this treatment? Are there other products that may produce the same results? I havn't talked to my stylist about it yet, but I know they do not use Rusk products. We've been talking about me maybe getting a soft body perm, but this treatment may offer me more of what I am looking for since Im a little tentative about having much curl in my hair.Thanks.
