hiit depends on what you are using--demi-permanent or permanent haircolor. the demi type will wash out gradually (assuming you are using something within 1-2 shades of you original color. if you go more extreme, say from blonde to brown, then some color may be remain visible indefinitely). permanent is as the name implies--it does not wash out, though it may fade slightly.:) silvie
