I can't afford expensive conditioners right now but really need help with my dry and damaged hair. Has anyone used heat with cheap conditioners like Suave and do you think it would make them work better?

Well, lately I've fallen into a washing pattern of using VO5 as a prewash conditioner and then using NG Original Herbal (the best smelling conditioner I've ever used) or Camomile after I wash. Then I put jojoba oil on the dry parts and ends. I've gotten much, much better conditioning results by just using VO5 conditioners (Basalm and Protein or Split Ends Treatment) after I wash (and nothing else) than I have with some of the midpriced brands like Pantene and Finesse (two I particulary loathe.)Erika> I can't afford expensive conditioners right now but> really need help with my dry and damaged hair. I know that other people on this board have done this as well..1. Use olive oil with a plastic cap and hot towel over top, then wash out.OR2. Use an inexpensive deep conditioner such as Queen Helene Cholesterol (Or Wella Kolestral)with the same method as above. Both of these have worked for me in the past.HTH 8^)Laura
