Can anyone tell me if there is a shampoo on the market that does not contain the chemicals sodium lauryl sulfate and/orammonium lauryl sulfate? My understanding from a nutritionist is these two chemicals generate hairloss by killing the hair follicle. I would like to retain my hair, so if there is a product/shampoo available that would help do so please let me know what and where to purchase. Thanks!

>You might try looking at mothernature.com under shampoos. I checked this web site out today and it had a lot of natural products without the harsh chemicals.Christine

According to my resources Ammonium Lauryl Sulphate is one of the mildest and safer cleansers.Even Aveda uses it except that it was extracted from cocunut. Is it possible for a chemicle to be derived from a natural and unatural source?
