Hi there, haven't posted in ages but I've got a question for you all. I live in a college town and have noticed that most of the young girls are not wearing bangs. Also, long-haired stars like Jennifer Aniston and Portia di Rossi are mostly wearing them long. Are bangs passe? Short bangs hide a multitude of imperfections (like forehead wrinkles!) but I wonder if the look is dated? What do you think?

Hey! That's a great question. I've been thinking about growing out my bangs for quite a while, but I've noticed the forehead wrinkle thing too. I sort of think they are passe right now, at least in the media. I have a 'bangs' question for you, now. Do you think it's important to consider the shape of your face or the height of your forehead? I have a pretty high forehead, but I still think I look fairly decent without bangs. What's your opinion? Thanks!

I don't think bangs are passe at all..at least not where I live (Laguna Beach...south of LA). Short bangs seem to be getting really trendy..although not with the people you see in the media. I think they are really cute and I've had them for a while..and anyway, who cares if they aren't worn by people like Jennfier Aniston. ( I actually think many stars would look great with bangs!)I really think bangs, whether short, medium or longer, give shoulder length hair ( or longer hair) a nice style that's so easy to do in the morning. They look cute with bobs too, but I think its a much more severe look. And the height of the forehead is important. If you have a really high forehead, bangs look good but not too short (IMO).> Hey! > I have heard that the current trend is curly hair with bangs, a la Farah Fawcett 70s look.I have already had mine done in a similar way as I am pretty fed up with the stick straight style now.It hasn't caught on yet - but I bet anything it will within a few months.
