Hi,Just wanted to say, if you have long hair, PLEASE be careful with hairdryers that have their airvent in the back of the appliance.I used the Philips Sensor dryer, and had a close call with getting my hair tangled up in the fan. Although you should be careful with any dryer, I think hairdryers with vents in the back pose the most risk. So just be careful, or avoid them altogether. I definitely will from now on.Thanks,Holly

I have never tried this, but I have heard it works to cut the toe out of a pair of nylons and fasten it over the vent part of the hairdryer with a rubber band. This way your hair won't get sucked into the vent.

Hi Lily,Thanks for the tip. I think I'll just use the "side-vent" versions, I like the those much better! Thanks again,Holly

If you have long hair also be careful of leaning over car engines while the fan is running or anything that hair can get caught in. Jaccuzi tubs, hot tubs that have high flow returns, vaccum cleaners that have steel rods that stick out when you have the head off like Kirby. I am a nurse and instances like these cause the hair to get pulled from the scalp and also can seperate the scalp from the skull. Kids have drowned from tubs and who would think of these things. Just be careful if you have really long hair.
