hi i have brown mouse hair that i had bleached to pale yellow and i use born blonde toner. i have been told that the color is too much of a solid color and that i need to add low lights.i have a months outgrowth.the colorist wants to ad gold and brown low lights by useing a cap. i would like to know how this can be done correctly with a cap. i would think by using foil would be the best way to see where the low lights are being placed but she insists on the cap use.also how would the top half inch outgrowth look because wouldnt the cap method leave spaces? i need to have this done asap because of my outgrowth. thank you in advance.

I tend to agree with your stylist. Since your hair is double processed (bleach and toner) you would most definitely need a filler prior to the actual retint. By keeping the capped hair separate from the hair you do not want to tint, you can apply the filler, then towel off then apply the tint. It is much more difficult to do this with foils.
