Deep condition and do a scalp treatment weekly. Use heat to really deep condition.Wash it only every few days, or at a minimum every other day.After you wash it, apply a gel for your hair type, let it air dry until damp if you can, if not use a hair dryer on low drying the under sections first, until damp.Then use a large round brush to smooth it out as the final steps of drying, OR, use jumbo velcro rollers( I promise the velcro rollers will make it look and feel healthy.) If you skip every day washing, you will get a few days out of it.using pins to hold in place if needed, OR, let hair completely dry and use a large curling iron to smooth. Apply a pomade or oil based hair shine product.Getting it chemically straightened may dry it out and may not work for you, but you should discuss this with a professional stylist.
