Hello everyone,I am having trouble finding a good shampoo and conditioner. My hair is shoulder length and dry, and brittle on the ends. I know the first thing I am going to do is get a trim. I need something that doesn't contain oil because it just makes my skin and scalp greasy. It also cannot contain methylchloroisthiazolinone or methylisothiazolinone because for some reason everything I have tried containing these two products caused me to have red, itchy splotches all over my arms and my scalp felt dry and itchy. I want something that will leave my hair soft, shiny and full of body without the dryness. I also want some thing that will put a protective layer on my hair that won't weigh it down and make it shine. If anyone could give me advice on what you use everyday, and maybe a list of the ingredients in the products or where they can be found I would appretiate it. I am sick of wasting my money on products that do not work for me. I would appretiate anyone's response on what works well for them. Thanks,Christine
Hi Christine :)I know a product that might benefit your scalp and hair. Like you, my scalp has the tendency to be oily and it's also quite sensitive. Because of these two factors I have to be very careful what I use especially since I have the tendency to break out from certain skin care and hair care products. I too have searched high and low for hair products that right for me and so far have found two which seem to work for me: One is Aubrey Organics and the other one is Neutrogena Anti Residue Shampoo which I've used off and on for years and always loved. Aubrey Organics is all natural, but it does contain some oils. Neutrogena Anti Residue Shampoo is very gentle (dermatologist recommended), can be used every day, claims to have no irritating ingrediants, leaves the hair full, shiny, and very soft. The ingrediants in Neutrogena Anti Residue are purified water, ammonium lauryl sulfate, cocamide dea, cocamidoproply betain, glycerin, imidazolinyl urea, methylparaben, propylparaben, citric acid, and fragnance. The best thing about the Neutrogena especially if you have oily skin and hair is that after you use their products, your scalp and skin feels so clean! If you decide to try it, let me know how you like it. Good luck!Maria Related Link:Maria In Mass

> Hello everyone,> Was just thinking...wouldn't it be nice if we were in the same town, and could get together and discuss all our hair problems...and could try dif. things and what one might buy and not like...someone else, could take and try...we could all "sample" each others shampoo and cond. and etc...like that.. I have always wished companys made sample sizes to try, but we know why they don't...they sucker us in to buying them and aft. we see they don't work, we just put them in the cabinet and go try something else....wish there was some way of us exchanging and trying each others "rejects"...because all hair types are so dif., and what one might not like...might be good for someone else. Anyway, I wish it were possible to have a way to share and try things like that....but don't know...We need something like a hair products party...(like Tupperware)...and not even so much the expensive products...just all kinds, to share and try out. Oh, well...sorry so long.... This idea isn't possible, but it sure would be nice....I know I have a lot of bottles of shampoo and cond., I keep and eventually end up throwing out!....money down the drain..
