thank you so much for your reply, made me very happy. to answer your question i told her about the filler from the advice i received from my 1st question. she then put a gold filler on and timed it. i wanted to leave with mostly blond hair but it looks like it is mucky because there is too much brown. i washed in a caramel conditioner called brataco they are the makers, so now i have a warmer color it is darker but to know me is to know i cant stand any slight resemblence to ash.i like light hiney and buttery colors. i went on a web page to locate a color specialist and found one i may call. i have spent a lot but it is worth it when you get what you want but not when you dont. do you think this color can be removed /? i think it was permanent. what about metelex/:? WELL THANK YOU AGAIN YOURE GREAT.

You are doing too many chemicals to your hair. You can not keep coloring it, and stripping it, and coloring it again. Even if it is not perfect, give it a rest. Get a consultation, or several consultations about the color. Find someone that has a plan for the correction, and repair of your hair. Even the most perfect color, will look horrible on material that is so degraded that it has to be cut off. Think of the health of your hair, because that is what ultimately matters. Sorry to be so blunt, but that's the way it is. I find so many people, including a lot of fellow stylists, that think you can constantly put the fabric that is their hair, through all this abuse. Try to do the least possible chemical work to your hair. Think about the healthy shine, bounce, and smoothness, and not so much about what you think is the perfect color. Find someone to color your hair that you trust, and stick with them, and stick with the color enhancement plan that you have decided is right for you.I am passionate about hair. WELL THANK YOU AGAIN YOURE GREAT.Hi Bernadette,I tend to think that there is still hope for color correction, but it is essential to consult with a colorist that is thoroughly educated on safe color removal. I know that there are products that remove color gently. I do a certain degree of color correction in my salon, but I would by no means call my self a colorist. I have also been a cosmetology instructor, with some advanced training in color. What I would suggest is, before you make an appointment to do anything, find a colorist, ask if you can just come in to meet them and have a brief consultation, where they can see the color, and condition of your hair, and give you a strategy for correcting your color in the safest way possible. They may end up telling you that you need to wait a while, or they may feel there is hope for an immediate solution. I have seen many disasters be made right with the use of the right products and technique. I think you are right to use a shampoo or conditioner with some warm pigments, since your hair is ashy. My guess is that a gold filler was not the correct choice for the depth of color you were trying to acheive.(you need more red in the filler when you are tinting back to brown tones) Either that or the final tint was a cool tone. It's hard to say without being there, and I hesitate to bash another stylists work. It's easy to criticize from afar. As far as Metalex....I havent used that product in a while, I thought that it was meant to remove build up and metallics from the hair. I dont know if it will do anything for your color. Time will lighten it, thats for sure. My gut feeling? All is not lost. In the meantime, while waiting for an appointment, give yourself some deep conditioning treatments.Although I cant recommend this because I havent seen your hair, sometime solving the problem you describe can be as simple as pulling it through the cap once again,(Or foils for more control of areas to lift out tint) and then applying a mixture of bleach and water for just a few minutes. (It's quick, and not as harsh as bleach with peroxide, and sometimes is all that is needed to get the deep tones lifted. I know there are many that say just let it be and live with it, and that may be the best advice, but I think that there are times when corrective color treatments are safe and appropriate and make for client satisfaction. Of course this is something only your colorist can determine, at this point. good luckPS. Consult with more than one colorist if you can... Compare notes. You dont have to go with one just because you had the consultation.
