What is the best way to use jojoba oil in the hair? Should I use it in the same manner as a hot oil treatment? Also, how much and how often should I use it?

Also, how much and how often should I use> it?Use it either as you would a hot oil treatment, as a pre-shampoo treatment, or you can dab a few drops in the ends to help protect and moisturize them between oil treatments.I generally do oil treatments the night before I shampoo (once every 3-4 days), but how often you do oil treatments would depend on how dry your hair is. If it's really dry or damaged it might be a good idea to do oil treatments every other night for about 2 weeks or until you get a more normal feel to your hair. If your hair is in good shape once a week should be ample.I hope that helps!
I like go a couple days without shampooing (making sure to brush my hair good daily to distribute natural oils), on the second evening I coat the lower 2/3 of my hair w/ jojoba, braid and leave in overnite; wash the next mornnig with Aubrey Island Naturals shampoo, condition about 10 minutes w/ GPB conditioner...final rinse with ice cold water... the shine, body is unreal!! I usually do this about 4 times a month. I also rub a little oil on my cat's fur every now and then... she has short black hair and it makes it look super lustrous, really beautiful. She always likes to smell it on my hands... I can't really detect a smell but she likes it!? Go figure...
