For anyone who uses deep conditioning treatments at home, what is your technique? I've seen little "bonnet" attachments that you can buy and hook up to a hand held dryer. So, you'd apply the conditioning, put the bonnet on your head to hold in the heat and then blow warm air into the bonnet to open up the cuticle of the hair to absorb the conditioner. Then, you change the air to cool air to close the cuticle, and then hop in the shower and rinse off the conditioner.Has anyone ever tried this? If not, what is a way you deep condition at home? Thanks! And happy holidays!Jena
Jena,I spritz a bath towel with water until it is damp, then microwave it for a few minutes. (It's safe.) Then I wrap the hot towel around my conditioned head.Same idea, really.Ally

I do deep treatments 1-2 times a week, depending on how many times I have blowdried & styled vs dry natural.
I have those one gallon baggies - they are cheap, not the ones with the ziploc but the ones with the twist tie. I put the conditioner on my hair then cover it with the baggie. I tried doing the "wrap the towel around the head" thing, but it won't stay on my head. I use a winter toboggan (hat) instead and it holds the heat in great without falling off all the time.
