Season's Greetings everyone. I have mid back length, dyed, very curly, frizzy hair. I bought Aveda brilliant retexturing gel and universal styling creme but my hair looks really frizzy and big after putting in both the products. How come when I get my hair done at the salon with these products it looks great, but when I do it at home it looks big. Can anyone suggest anything that Iam doing wrong.Sherry

Because styling hair has not only to do with the products used, but the experience, talent, and position of where the stylist stands! Often, we can't produce the same results as a stylist, not because of the products used, but because often (though certainly not always) it's just easier to style someone else's hair. I, however, am the opposite! Stylists usually overblow my hair and it ends up looking flat, whereas I can better control the hair dryer and curling iron at home.> Season's Greetings everyone. I thought I was the only person to prefer my own blowdry to a stylists. They also tend to use too much or too little styling product for my taste. One of the last times I went, I got layers and the stylist used Rusk's Shining. My hair moved like silk, but 2 seconds after brushing it, it went flat and greasy. The last time I went, the stylist only used a styling creme and it fell flat 30 minutes later.I keep letting them do their thing in hopes of finding a regime that I like!Alexandra
