I am looking for something called a "rat pin" that stylist use for putting hair up in a french twists. It takes hair all at once and rolls it up for you. It was a hair tip from hair boutique but I don't know where to purchase one.

Melinda,Hello. I've never heard of a "rat pin", but I have heard of rats. They are forms, usually made of foam, that hair is styled over. They can be used to create buns or French tiwsts. The ones I've seen are usually around three to six inches long (though there are longer ones) about an inch to an inch and a half in diameter, and are made of a dark grey foam (though I think they come in lighter colors for blonde hair too). You can usually get them at places like Sally Beauty Supply, or any local beauty supply stores. I'm not sure if there is a specific type of pin to use with them. I've always just heard of regular hairpins and bobby pins being used.Good luck,Teresa
