I just started my dreads about a month ago, and I am definately not wanting to cut them, however, I have some important business opportunities which require me to dress in suits and tuxedos (which is quite unlike my usual casual hippy-ness). Although I disagree with the stereotypes that many people have about dreadlocks looking grimy, the fact is that there will be someone who is not a fan of my dreads. Does anyone know any ideas for doing my to look as conservative as possible? Ponytail? Tam? Cut them off? (please say no to that one) Someone please give me some advice. Thanx.

seriously man, you cant change a persons first impression about you, and unless you cut them, this mans first impression will be "HIPPY!!, THIS GUY'S A HIPPY!!"

It comes with the dew man, some fields of work are taken away from you.

Or you could cut them off (im sorry i said it lol)

I have always worked in a professional atmosphere. Business sales. I think it would depend on how yours look, to be honest. If you are dressed to the nines, and your dreads are simple, and one color allover, and pulled back in a ponytail, you will still look very sharp. I think cuttign them for someoen is a big mistake. Although, mind you, there will always be companies that will not hire you or do busines with you because of them, but if you change yourself for everyoen who has a problem you always be changing.
