Yup...I'm back for more advice. Those who know me, know that I dye my hair very frequently. Well, lately, I've had a big problem w/ roots. I had a car accident over the summer, which left me too broke to do anything about my hair. Now, I've got really obvious roots that nothing seems to be able to cover. Will a salon be able to cover these? Or am I going to have to let it grow out/ go back to my natural color (I really don't wanna do that...I think it's unflattering to me)?

Here's a pic of what it looks like now, just to give a good idea of what's happening :)

A salon might be a good idea, since it looks like there are like three different tones in there as it is. They might be able to do a better job at making it all blend together.

Hi Snuggles & Kuroneko,

Snuggles...so sorry to hear about your accident. How terrible for you. I hope you are OK.

Kuroneko is right that a salon could fix you right up. I would suspect that if you go to a colorist or a stylist that works with color, they could do a combo highlight and lowlight foiling to blend everything together appropriately.

Dark roots can be a pain but keep in mind that Carrie on Sex And The City made dark roots socially and fashionably acceptable. In fact, in some cases they deliberately left her roots dark to make a point. So unless they are driving you totally nuts, you are right in step with hair fashions in New York. :-)

Best wishes & Happy New Year to you both.
Karen

hello i think that a visit to the hairdressers would be a good idea maybe just getting the roots done again would be all right or you could get the whole head done
