Hi there. I was wondering if anyone could help me. Im getting my hair highlighted for the first time but I don't know what color to get. I have medium brown hair. It has some natural golden blond in it but its hard to see unless Im in the sunlight. I've asked my friends and they said I should put some red highlights in but my mom thinks I should put some golden blond, but I was thinking about maybe some carmel highlights. Well if anyone could give me some advice it will help a lot.

If you wanna be really diplomatic, you could have a little of each put in, but they'd have to be fine highlights rather than chunks, to avoid the rainbow-stripe effect. But really, it's you who has to live with it, not your friends or your mom, so get what makes you happy.
