EEEK!!!! HELP!!!!!

Seems to be a problem with Herbal Essenses, I have used various auburn shades through the years, and the last one turned my hair doll red, in spite of the lovely medium auburn expected. The hotline had me use Hydrience Mocha Frost, half the color and developer mixed with an ounce of shampoo, well, that covered the doll hair, with dull, dark brown. Today I tried to use Hydrience Tropical something or another to go back to being auburn, but it only got worse. I called the hotline again, and all they could tell me, after 3 boxes of haircolor and a very drastic haircut, was to go to a salon. When I asked why they recommended such a dark brown for someone who's hair is normally a light auburn, they could only tell me that's what they always do. Save yourself, don't take thier advice, it's worse, and I'm peeved still.
