I had an auburn dye once that looked purple, but it only stayed that way for a couple of days, and faded to a more natural shade after that. *shrugs* Lots of dyes, I've noticed, look a little strange the first few days, but settle down later. Maybe yours will, too.

About 6 weeks ago, I bleached my hair. After playing around with creme colors (wash-out) and having to put a violet rinse on it every day to keep it from yellowing, I decided to dye it light brown. It had been a few days since I used the rinse; I wanted to have everything washed out of my hair.

Well, the dye that was supposed to color my hair a beautiful, iridescent light brown left my hair a gross shade of dark purpleish tones.

How do I get my hair light brown from here? What happened? Help, please!
