Ok so, I still haven't decided on whether or not I want to lighten my permanently dyed hair with highlights yet. I was thinking about growing my hair out, but I talked to a friend who has black hair like me and she just got highlights and loves them. I'm afraid that with my complextion I'll look washed out with highlights. Surprisingly I don't look washed out with the black hair, probably because my original hair color is dark brown anyway and I have dark green eyes. I was thinking of using a semi perm brown color close to my natural shade as the black grows out. Any suggestions? I'm going crazy cause I can's make up my mind! Thanks :-)
Hi what i would do is use a medium golden brown shade that way your black hair should be a darker brown and at the same time your black roots wont show as much with a darker brown, at least that what i do I usually just apply a medium brown to my hair and when the black grows out the colors dont contrast so much, so the new roots are not as noticeable! hope this helps good luck
