Thank you all for responding.
I just called the hairstylist, she told me to try washing my hair with anti dandruff shampoo first. It should lighten up the colour apparently. I dont know whether I like the sound of that advice or not, but i have to try it. If it's not lighter after that, I could get it fixed, she said.
She told me that after getting rid of the old colour, the new colour always turns out a bit darker. I feel kind of misinformed, they didnt tell me that when i was picking a colour. If I would of known, I would of picked a lighter colour even with the orange showing a bit through.
Let's hope for the best,

its not rude to go back and say something about disliking the color and wanting them to fix it for free. i my self would prefer someone to tell me than not to say anything and bash me from behind. also if they applied an all over color already then they wont be able to lighten it unless they use a bleach because color does not lift color.
a colorist should be used to someone coming up and aksing them to fix something...they cant staisfy everyone...and you paid money for it..it's not like you got it for free..so get your money's worth! if the stylist cant handle being told sometihng like that then they shouldnt be one! just tell em. who cares if the ythink it's rude...they still get the $ ...as long as you are happy when you get home i dont think you should care how the yfeell.
i definetly think they should do it again for you.. that happened to me in a way at my salon ( i asked for many blonde highlights and didnt have many at all ) and they gladly fixed it for me

Today I went to the hairstylist with my faded reddish hair. I wanted it blonde, not high blonde but a pretty golden blonde. They said they needed to strip the colour first and that a lightish blonde wouldnt be possible so i settled with a darker blonde.
Because there was a storm going on we decided that drying my hair wasnt needed as it was going to get wet again within 5 minutes (i was on my bike) , so i left the place with wet hair that seemed quite dark brown.
Once at home, i dried my hair and well.. its still brown. I am not really happy with this and I am in an akward situation now. I want to go back to the hairplace and ask if they can do it again.. But would that be rude of me? I had to pay 125 euros (about the same if not a bit more in dollars) for my dying, which i couldnt pay fully (evil bank was slow and didnt pay me in time). So I told them i'd bring the money tomorrow.
I really dont know what to do, would it be innapropriate for me to ask them to do it again even though I havent paid them off fully? And, is it even possible to lighten up brown hair to a pretty golden blonde? My mother said they might disagree with me because there's a thin line between dark blonde and brown.. And I didnt say anything about it in the salon, mainly because my hair was wet and i thought it would look lighter when dry..
Anyways, thank you for reading,
Mandaria
PS: my hair is fairly long, comes halfway down my back.. and the brown is kinda dullish.. thats why i dont like it...
