Hi All! Here is my dilemma (any help appreciated). My hair is naturally a dark blone/ light brown with professional hightlights. Back in May I tried to retouch my highlights and looked like a leopard. I then used the feria duo color and looked even worse. I had to go to the salon and have it fixed. They ended up turning all my hair blonde and highlighting it. It looked great. Now to the root of my problem...these roots! All of my hair is this great caramel and wheat blonde, but my roots are just dark. I really don't have the time or funds for the maintainence of blonde. I would like to use a semi or demi color to coat my hair to a light golden brown. I would like to do this myself but I'm not sure what to use. Any suggestions or words of advise or caution? Will my hair come out evenly between my roots and the rest? That is my biggest concern. Thanks!
well i know what u r going through my natural color is dirty blonde but i changed it once to britney spears like blonde and my hair grow super fast i ended up with having to do my roots every 3 weeks and after 5 monthes i had enough of spending my cash and my hair health was wasted ... i advice u of taking ur hair few tones down or maybe getting it in light brown and doing highlights over it and do urself a favor and DO IT IN A HAIR SALON ,, u hair had enough of bleaching and if u fixed it urself u have 99% possibilty that things will go wrong again and u'll go to a salon after it anyway
Thanks for the advise! I went out and bought Sebastian translucent color (deposit only) and did a strand test. Let me say it's a good thing I did. I ended up returning it. The color wasn't bad, just not what I wanted. I'm really itching to get my hair done, but rent comes first. Does anyone think I could highlight it with a frosting cap myself? Or am I just asking for trouble...
i used this highlighting cap thingy at home a couple of years ago and it was a big mistake i ended up throwing the whole thing and doing some strands with foil well the thing is in the kind i used there's this needle to get out ur hair with from the little openings of the cap and i never seen anything more painfull than this the hair wouldnt come out and hair knots formed everywhere under the cap it was a very painfull nightmare do urself a favor and dont do it .....highlight with foil is mercier but still i understand ur itch to get ur hair done i been waiting for a month now to get enough money to dye my hair and i finally getting it and i ended up like i even dont want to go out cause of my hair just be patient and remember waiting a little is better then ending up with a hair disaster that require immediate pro aid !
